Task
ArtsEkta is a cultural organisation that works to develop intercultural relationships at the heart of the community, most notably for their flagship event, Belfast Mela – the largest celebration of cultural diversity on the island of Ireland. They needed a website that reflected the vibrancy and diversity of the events they organise. They also had the extra request of a theme that changed with the seasons.
Solution
I designed a website and an interactive prototype that seamlessly integrated their existing brand identity, utilising the established colour palette and visual motifs. I worked closely with illustrators and designers to refine visual elements for web use and seamlessly integrated them into the final designs.
The prototype played a key role in this project by showcasing the unique seasonal theme functionality, allowing the client to easily switch between different colour palettes and motifs for each season.
I created a scalable design system in Figma, with brand styles, typography, assets and responsive components. This made designing for different devices simple and allowed for consistency across all pages.
